Sometimes we just need to meditate on what we believe in:
I believe in God, the one and true God who created heaven and earth. Not only did He create everything, but He did so ex nihilo—from nothing. He is the only God.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God incarnate, who descended to this earth not only to live a perfectly righteous life pleasing to the Father but also died for the sins of His people. Jesus was, and forever will be, both truly God and truly man.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, who forever lives inside children of God and groans for us in prayer when our words won’t come out. He is not a force, as some claim, but a person, the third Person of the Godhead.
I believe salvation comes to those who repent of their sins and place their faith in the finished work of Christ. That offer is to all people. Both of these components—repentance and faith—however, are gifts from God, so that no man may boast. God saved us, not us.
I believe Jesus is coming back again, in full glory and majesty, to rule and reign and will create a new heavens and new earth and the children of God will be with Him and the Trinity forever.
I believe God, as Trinity, is sovereign over all things. There’s not one atom, not one molecule, not one tiny insect that operates outside of the sovereign reign and rule of God.
