Forgive me for the long-ish time between blogs. Life’s busy but I’ve also been working on my devotional that I will share more about soon-ish. Thanks for reading!
Give me Jesus . . .
Give me Jesus when I rise in the morning, when I lie down at night.
Give me Jesus when my day begins with joy, peace, and tranquility and that continues throughout the day.
Give me Jesus when I forget to read my Bible, neglect to pray, and am impatient with everyone I encounter.
Give me Jesus when the suffering doesn’t cease.
Give me Jesus when I am experiencing the lowest of valleys and the highest of mountains.
Give me Jesus when the frustration, confusion, and exhaustion from fighting sin continues to beat me down.
Give me Jesus when tragedy strikes, whatever it is.
Give me Jesus when life feels like a breeze.
Give me Jesus when relationships are rocky and you don’t know what to do or who to turn to.
Give me Jesus when local church life is vibrant, joyful, and fulfilling.
Give me Jesus when you seem out of place in the local church and you’re not sure what to do.
Give me Jesus when work isn’t working and you’re at your wits end.
Give me Jesus when you don’t feel close to God.
Give me Jesus when you can’t sleep at night.
Give me Jesus when the pain doesn’t stop and the anguish doesn’t abate.
Give me Jesus when you’re diagnosed with cancer.
Give me Jesus when the cancer goes into remission.
Have you caught on yet? Some of these are for me, some for you—but they are for us all. We need Jesus everyday, in all of life’s circumstances. Give us Jesus, for He is all we need.
