Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus (A Review)

There’s much to anticipate during the Christmas season. Of course, the Christmas season has passed, but I still wanted to share with you a wonderful devotional from Crossway entitled Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus: Experiencing the Peace and Promises of Christmas, edited by Nancy Guthrie.

With contributions from John Piper, Timothy Keller, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and many more, this devotional explores all the facets of Christ being born.

This beautifully designed book has even better content, ranging from chapters on the God who tabernacled among us (from Joseph “Skip” Ryan), the Holy Spirit (John Piper), and the great fulfillment (from Martyn Lloyd-Jones), this advent devotional will stir your affections for Jesus as we ponder the glories of Christmas.

As I said, though Christmas just recently passed, it’s always a great time to read about the incarnation and have our hearts and minds fixated on what God did for us in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Get this book!

I was given this book for free by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
