Year in Review (2023)

Friends, it has been another great year for my blog, Theology & Life! God has been gracious to bring more visitors to my site. Hopefully those people have been impacted for the better by my writing.

This year my blog had a total viewership of a little over 23,400! Though total viewership was down from last year, traffic to my site was much more organic this year—which is a great thing! That means more people are coming to my site and reading my content without links sending them there. Instead, it’s from Google searches and the like.

To be sure, I don’t write blogs for the numbers. Yes, I have to resist the temptation of caring too much about numbers, but my goal is not to accrue a mass following. I write what I write because 1) I love to write and 2) I write to serve.

With that said, Here are the five most-viewed posts:

A Letter to the Anxious Christian

“So, anxious Christian, remember this: God cares for you. He loves you. He provides for you. He looks after you. He is near to you. He has not and will not abandon you. When you believe those things with an undivided heart, it’s very difficult to become anxious. Take heart, and rest in Christ.”

The Christians Responsibility to Pray for Rulers

“Christian, pray for your leaders. Pay attention to politics, but don’t let it consume you. Above all, remain quiet and peaceful by fixating your gaze on the glory of Jesus, knowing full well He has won the final war.”

Don’t be Afraid to Name Names

“Christian, do not be afraid to name names. Don’t cower when someone confronts you for exposing a known false teacher; don’t shrink away from someone complains you’re being unloving; don’t back down from someone who insists you’re wrong. However, be gracious.”

With You

“What are you currently going through? Has a trial overtaken you? Did an unexpected event capsize your heart and cause you to despair of life? Have you been doubting the Lord because of the death of a loved one? Whatever the occasion, the statement is true: Jesus is with you.”

What Should We Think About Bethel Music?

“Considering the cesspool of malarkey and irreverence of God that happens at Bethel Church, should we listen to their music?”

You will continue to see new weekly blog posts on Friday, with a rare blog thrown in mid-week. That happens when I have a topic in my head that I can’t get out or if I have important news.

Thank you all for reading my blog! I hope you continue to be edified by my writing. To God be the glory!

I like your take on viewership on your site. If it meets someone’s needs, then it is worth sharing.
My blog postings were for my recollection of my journey of recovery as my memory was severely challenged. I quickly realized that others were be helped, feeling validated by sharing my ‘bumpy’ road of recovery. The bumps continue but with reduced frequency.
