The Psalms are filled with statements about what God is like. And in his new book entitled God, You Are from Crossway, William R. Osborne seeks to show all children all of the “God, you are” statements in the Psalms.
From “God, You Are with Me” and “God, You Are My Hiding Place” to “God, You are My Salvation,” Osborne shows the littles ones—and even adults!—about the faithfulness of God.
Do you have a special place you like to sneak over to when you are playing? Maybe you like to go there to play, or just have some time alone. Certain places make us feel comfortable, safe, and protected. When the Bible says God is our hiding place, it is not saying we play hide-and-seek with God! We don’t hide from God—we hide in God.
It’s quotes like this that permeate this incredible book. The book is written specifically for children ages 4 to 8, but like I said, even adult Christians can benefit from this work. Personally, I have two kids, a four-year-old and an almost two-year-old, and am looking forward to reading it to them daily.
If you have children, make sure to buy this, as it is a great way to catechize them and teach them more and more about our great God!
