“for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” (Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬)

When we become Christians, not only does God radically save us and declare us righteous in His sight, but we become His sons, His children.

That is the most amazing news of all time—and it’s too good not to be true. By faith we become children of God in Jesus Christ. What benefits do we receive by being sons of God?

We have direct access. We don’t need to go through anybody to get to our Heavenly Father. We have immediate and direct access to Him. Whether it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night, we can go to God for anything—no matter how big or small.

We have security. God, as our Heavenly Father, will never let us go. He loves us with a fatherly love that transcends our world. He loved us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. We are loved with an incomparable love; a love that holds us firm, even when we squirm.

We have his compassion. God understands us more than we understand ourselves. Therefore, nothing we go through is too difficult for the Lord. When we go through dark valleys, He is with us; when we are on top of the mountain, He is with us.

Friend, it is a massive privilege to be children of God. Ponder that today.
